PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for supporting the functional testing of IEM products and components, ensuring accurate and safe testing procedures, assisting in checkout and energized testing, and maintaining thorough documentation to validate the overall functionality of completed projects.
What will you be responsible for:
- Position and connect equipment in preparation for testing.
- Perform wire checks and visual inspections
- Assist Test Technicians in checkout and functional testing of equipment.
- Complete all required documentation and posts in the appropriate job folder.
- Perform other duties which may be required by supervisor.
- Observe and assist in testing such as Visual Inspections, Hi-Pot, Ductor, and Continuity under the supervision of a Level 2 or higher qualified person
- Assist in setup of safety barriers, hazard signs, PPE, and staging for energized testing
- Identify and explain the use of common testing equipment
- Demonstrate proper PPE donning sequence and hazard identification
- Assist in schematic highlighting, documenting non-conformances, and following document control procedures

- High School Diploma or GED or higher education
- Minimum 1 year of control wiring experience.
Physical/Mental/Environment:
Physical Demands:- Activities: Sitting – 5% Walking/Standing – 95%
- Lifting: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bending: Must be able to bend, squat.
- Vision: Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items.
- Coordination: frequent ladder use
- Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.
